Within the framework of mutual cooperation between TSU, Poznan Adam Mickiewicz University and Viadrina European University law faculties, as well as with the support of the Polish and Georgian Lawyers' Association, the Georgian-Polish student exchange program was hosted by Professor Arkadiusz Wudarski and the leadership of Collegium Polonikum.
The summer school, which took place on 24.06.-01.07.2024 in the city of Berlin, the city of Frankfurt Oder and the city of Slubice, was intended for students of Tbilisi State University.
Within the framework of the school, they had the opportunity to make reports on selected legal issues in German and/or English and hold a discussion with Polish students. The school also included visits to German legislatures and courts. In addition to professional discussions, the summer school program included excellent opportunities for getting to know each other and cultural exchange.
From the Polish side, the school is headed by a long-time friend of Tbilisi State University, professor of the University of Szczecin, Mr. Arkadiusz Wudarski; Georgian students were given the opportunity for the second time this year to participate in a series of reports within the framework of the comparative legal format - IUS PRIVATUM, which was presented by Prof. Wudarski manages every year. Last year, Tbilisi State University students participated in the project remotely, and this year, the following students presented reports on the spot: Medea Ansiani, Tamar Jakhua, Giorgi Getsadze, Lali Kalichenko, Giorgi Tsereteli, Nugzari Edisherashvili and Gvantsa Khachidze.
From the Georgian side, the school was organized by the dean of Tbilisi State University Law Faculty - Mrs. Tamar Zarandia, the deputy dean - Mr. Giorgi Dgebuadze, the professor of the same university - Giorgi Khubua and the guest lecturer - Tamar Ergemlidze.
Tbilisi State University thanks Prof. Wudarski, the organizers of the project and each participant of the project and expresses hope that the cooperation started between the universities will continue successfully in the future.
